After the war which saw French, British and Belgian powers vanquishing the Germans, they partitioned the nation among France and Britain.

The two zones would later be assigned as an UN trust an area.

English government managed its region inside the public authority of Nigeria as Northern and Southern Cameroon despite the fact that they didn’t go along with it to Nigeria.

In January 1960, French Cameroon got autonomy from France, pronounced itself the Republic of Cameroon. Nigeria got autonomy too on October 1 the exact year.

A submission was directed with the goal that the individuals of British Cameroon would cast a ballot where they needed to go – Cameroon or Nigeria.

While the individuals in Northern British Cameroon said they would stay in Nigeria, the individuals of Southern British Cameroon said they would join the Republic of Cameroon.

Yet, when British Southern Cameroon joined the Republic of Cameroon which was colonized by France, things didn’t function as they had suspected.

They presently feel minimized in the nation, state they are not spoken to in government and are enduring segregation. Consequently, their mission to withdraw from the Republic of Cameroon.

Obasanjo, Biya surrendered domains in 2003

Inhabitants of that part were energized over the consolidation of their territory with Northern Cameroon in Nigeria.

The Southern Cameroon inhabitants have since a year ago during their disturbances to withdraw labeled the UNO State of Cameroon as “Ambazonia.”
